Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java 8+ backend applications using Spring Boot within a microservices environment.
- Design and implement RESTful web services and APIs for scalable business solutions.
- Resolve hypercare tickets and production issues through detailed code analysis and root-cause investigation.
- Optimize application performance and scalability using AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Integrate and maintain data persistence with PostgreSQL.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile settings and manage workflows using Jira.
- Contribute to root-cause-analysis documentation, support activities, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- At least 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience in Java backend development, including microservices architecture and application support.
- Experience with Java 8+, Spring Boot, RESTful web services, AWS cloud services, PostgreSQL, and Git.
- Preferred experience with GraphQL API design, Python scripting, Kafka, Hibernate, Jira, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline is listed as a desired qualification.
- Java or Spring certification, such as Oracle Certified Professional: Java SE or Spring Professional Certification, is desired.
- AWS Certified Developer or a similar cloud certification is desired.
