Base Salary
$180k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own automated-testing strategy and frameworks across the UI product, including Resident Onboarding and Command Center.
- Build a risk-weighted registry of critical user flows and live dashboards measuring test, screen, and production-traffic coverage.
- Develop AI-first testing workflows using Claude, MCP-based tooling, JIRA, APIs, CLIs, and direct database inspection.
- Modernize partner verification through API-based integration automation and improve environment testability.
- Coach engineers, product managers, and teams to embed quality into design, pull-request review, and development workflows.
- Lead the Quality Enablement practice by prioritizing tooling and system-testability gaps with engineering, platform, and product stakeholders.
- Establish CI coverage ratchets, deployment-gate health monitoring, flake reduction, and escaped-defect tracking.
Requirements
- Staff-level engineering experience with deep experience designing, coding, and owning test automation and frameworks across unit, integration, contract, and browser/end-to-end layers.
- A demonstrated focus on quality engineering as a primary craft, including building high-quality automated testing systems.
- Experience using AI to accelerate testing, including agent workflows, skills, and MCP tooling; Second Nature uses Claude.
- Strong AWS and Node/TypeScript skills and comfort testing distributed, service-oriented systems across service boundaries.
- Exceptional communication, coaching, cross-functional alignment, autonomy, and ownership skills.
- Ability to work an 8-to-5 EST schedule.
- Preferred experience standing up or scaling a quality engineering practice, performance/load testing, and data-integrity testing against relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
- PropTech, real estate technology, or B2B2C SaaS experience is a bonus.
