Senior DevOps Engineer / Platform Engineer - Streaming, Caching, DBaaS
SentinelOneResponsibilities
- Lead the design, operation, and end-to-end platform experience of Kafka and Redis distributed data services across Kubernetes clusters and multi-cloud environments.
- Build automated, self-service infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and air-gapped on-premises environments to enable cloud portability.
- Manage and scale data infrastructure supporting petabytes per day of ingestion with low latency, high throughput, and cost efficiency.
- Consolidate and optimize multi-tenant Kafka clusters to improve cost, resilience, and operational simplicity.
- Automate distributed-service lifecycles using GitOps tools including GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and Terraform.
- Define and implement Kubernetes standards for observability, high availability, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Partner with FinOps and engineering stakeholders to optimize platform performance, cost, and operational overhead.
Requirements
- Multiple years of infrastructure, platform, or DevOps engineering experience with a track record of operating distributed systems at scale.
- Hands-on experience operating self-hosted Kafka and/or Redis in Kubernetes, including performance tuning, scaling, and operator-based lifecycle management.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes internals and production management of stateless and stateful workloads, including air-gapped deployments.
- Multi-cloud experience with production expertise in at least one major provider: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and GitOps practices using Terraform, ArgoCD, and CI/CD workflow automation such as GitHub Actions.
- Strong scripting or development skills in at least one mainstream language such as Python, Go, or Ruby.
