System Software Engineer, Cloud (C++/Python)

Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and review features in the Everpure Cloud Dedicated data path using primarily C++ and/or Python on AWS and Azure.
- Improve resiliency, performance, and cost efficiency, including failover, high availability, capacity expansion, data reduction, and cloud-specific optimization.
- Participate in triage rotations by analyzing CI and automated-test failures, debugging CBS testbeds, and delivering code fixes.
- Lead or co-lead investigations of customer-environment issues from escalation through root-cause analysis and durable fixes.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality engineering, support, product management, and solutions architecture teams across Prague and the US.
- Maintain technical documentation and runbooks for engineering, support, and field teams.
Requirements
- Solid software engineering foundation building and maintaining backend or system-level components in production.
- Strong programming skills in C++ or Python and willingness to learn additional languages, tools, and frameworks.
- Experience with end-to-end ownership across design, implementation, testing, CI pipelines, deployment, monitoring, and production hardening.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills involving complex logs, CI failures, service boundaries, APIs, and cloud components.
- Curiosity about storage, networking, and cloud infrastructure, along with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
- Experience building or operating public-cloud products on Azure, AWS, or GCP is a plus, especially in reliability, performance, or cost optimization.
- Experience with Linux, multithreaded or performance-sensitive code, or CI/CD automation is nice to have.
