Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python backend applications and microservices.
- Build and support RESTful APIs using FastAPI, Flask, Django, or Gunicorn.
- Develop and optimize database solutions, write complex SQL queries, and maintain data integrity.
- Implement authentication, authorization, secure integrations, and data-processing workflows.
- Implement application monitoring, logging, tracing, and observability solutions.
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders.
- Maintain code quality through testing, code reviews, and software engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on Python development experience.
- Experience building REST APIs with FastAPI, Flask, Django, or Gunicorn.
- Solid experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with authentication and security libraries including google-auth, cryptography, oauthlib, and requests-oauthlib.
- Experience implementing observability with OpenTelemetry API, OpenTelemetry SDK, and OpenTelemetry Instrumentation.
- Experience with data processing and file handling using xlrd, xlwt, and simplejson.
- Familiarity with requests, PyYAML, and jsonschema.
- Understanding of software design principles, API best practices, secure coding standards, version control systems, and Agile development methodologies.
- Google Cloud Platform experience is preferred.
