Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and shipment of a coding harness and systems-modernization products using TypeScript, React, Tailwind, Node.js, Python, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
- Build integrations across source control systems, CI/CD platforms, requirements management tools, security scanners, developer environments, and other commercial software products.
- Guide the implementation and scaling of agentic workflows for system refactoring and software re-architecture.
- Partner with customers, mission owners, designers, product teams, and forward-deployed engineers to understand workflows, collect feedback, and deliver effective products.
- Help define Vannevar’s AI-native product strategy for software engineers, architects, and program managers supporting Department of War program offices.
Requirements
- US Person status and an active U.S. TS Security clearance with SCI eligibility are required.
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience with strong full-stack technical judgment.
- Experience building, evaluating, or operating coding agents, software engineering agents, code intelligence systems, or agentic developer tools using LangGraph, OpenAI SDK, Model Context Protocol, Agent2Agent, or similar technologies.
- Experience integrating multiple commercial software products and APIs across software engineering workflows.
- Proficiency with Python, TypeScript or similar languages, PostgreSQL or other relational databases, and AWS or other cloud services.
- Strong product and market instincts, direct experience working with users or customers, excellent communication, cross-functional leadership, and project ownership.
- Prior defense, national security, or intelligence software experience is valued.
- Experience with Ada, CMS-2, Java, C++, DevSecOps, Risk Management Framework, or NIST 800-53 is valued.
- Willingness to travel to offsites, team syncs, and customer sites.
