Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product, design, and development teams to define comprehensive testing strategies.
- Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks for web, desktop, mobile, and API platforms.
- Create and execute detailed test plans and test cases emphasizing scalability, edge cases, and real-world scenarios.
- Test file management features including file syncing, sharing, storage, file operations, and data integrity.
- Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, reproduce bugs, and provide actionable bug reports.
- Participate in the software development lifecycle from requirements review through release.
- Integrate automated test suites into continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
- Improve testing processes, methodologies, and overall product quality.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience as an SDET or in a test automation role.
- Knowledge of test automation concepts and experience with automated testing tools or frameworks such as Selenium.
- Proficiency in scripting with tools such as Python and Shell.
- Demonstrable understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience testing highly distributed applications for scale, robustness, and real-world scenarios.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, problem-solving, written communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience testing complex web applications and desktop applications on Windows and macOS.
- Strong experience testing file operations, synchronization, and data integrity.
- Proficiency with manual testing tools and techniques, including API testing tools and scripting.
- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, and Zephyr.
- Experience testing iOS and/or Android applications is preferred.
- Understanding of encryption methods, privacy, and security testing concepts is preferred.
- Experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools is preferred.
