
Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), AVP (Wealth Custody & Clearing)

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for frontend, backend, and API-driven systems.
- Build and execute functional, regression, integration, contract, and end-to-end automated test suites.
- Partner with application developers, product managers, and platform engineers to embed quality early in the software development lifecycle.
- Validate wealth custody, clearing, trading, account, portfolio, and servicing workflows.
- Create and maintain repeatable test data strategies.
- Identify, document, and track defects while contributing to root cause analysis and defect prevention.
- Ensure applications meet expectations for accuracy, reliability, resiliency, and regulatory compliance.
- Support production readiness, release validation, and post-deployment issue analysis.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in software quality engineering, SDET, or test automation roles.
- Demonstrated hands-on individual contributor experience embedded within engineering teams.
- Ability to design and implement automated testing solutions for complex systems.
- Experience working in enterprise or regulated environments where quality and control are critical.
- Strong proficiency with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Experience testing API-based and microservices architectures, including integration and contract testing.
- Familiarity with Java, JavaScript, or other backend and frontend languages used for test development.
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD deployment workflows.
- Knowledge of performance, resiliency, and negative-path testing concepts, testing best practices, quality metrics, and defect management.
- Exposure to wealth management, brokerage, or financial services systems is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with account and portfolio lifecycle events, trading and order management, operational servicing, entitlements, auditability, and controls is preferred.
- Experience with systems subject to regulatory oversight such as SEC or FINRA is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
