Responsibilities
- Create and manage enterprise technology architecture roadmaps, principles, standards, guidelines, and architecture assets.
- Lead the design and implementation of repeatable technical solutions, technology projects, applications, and integrated enterprise architectures.
- Partner with business, development, and senior leadership stakeholders to provide architectural recommendations and strategic guidance.
- Identify technology risks, evaluate solution alternatives, conduct proofs of concept and prototypes, and recommend future technologies.
- Review technical work and system specifications to ensure requirements can be translated into valid software architecture.
- Respond to critical production problems by evaluating solutions, coordinating recovery, and ensuring resolution.
- Support organizational capability development through mentoring, knowledge sharing, communities of practice, and professional networks.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Solution Architect experience in a large enterprise-level environment.
- 5+ years of software development experience, including Angular, Java, and Node.js.
- Strong experience with internet-facing applications, web technologies, web applications, content management, mobile iOS and Android applications, and application security controls.
- Experience with AWS, OAuth, OIDC, SAML, JWT, API design, API gateways, Swagger, Spring Boot, Java, and Node.js.
- Experience designing end-to-end enterprise solutions spanning frontend systems, enterprise services, product systems, and third parties.
- Strong understanding of service-oriented architecture, databases, data modeling, real-time and batch interfaces, and relational database design.
- Strong experience designing and implementing microservices, SOAP/XML and RESTful/JSON schemas, security concepts, authorization, single sign-on, and scalable applications.
- Strong understanding of the TOGAF framework, design and architectural patterns, and enterprise technology direction.
- Expert verbal and written communication, analytical and problem-solving, influence, collaboration, ambiguity management, and data-driven decision-making skills.
