Base Salary
$126k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own data-heavy features from design through production while planning pragmatic solutions for increasing traffic and data volume.
- Improve data models, pipelines, migrations, and multi-tenant systems.
- Build in the TypeScript monorepo using Hono, Drizzle/Postgres, and AWS infrastructure managed with SST and Pulumi.
- Monitor production, investigate issues, and fix root causes.
- Help the team make clear and practical technical decisions.
- Use AI agents in the engineering workflow, improve them, and review their implementation output.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience building, scaling, and running production software.
- Strong backend engineering skills in a typed language, including integration with third-party and public APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic Claude.
- Experience with relational data modeling, migrations, and production data systems.
- Sound judgment when working with sensitive data and high-impact changes.
- Current hands-on experience using AI coding tools and reviewing their output.
- Clear written communication, product sense, and comfort owning work end to end.
- Experience with TypeScript, Postgres, serverless AWS, or event-driven systems is useful, but exact framework overlap is not required.
