Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for testing, building, and deployment.
- Manage Docker containerized workloads and Kubernetes orchestration, including EKS, GKE, or AKS.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
- Lead reliability, availability, performance, incident response, and post-mortem processes.
- Optimize cloud costs and enforce infrastructure best practices.
- Implement infrastructure security controls covering IAM, secrets management, and network security.
- Improve developer experience, tooling, deployment workflows, environment configuration, and environment parity.
- Maintain infrastructure documentation and runbooks.
Requirements
- Require 3–5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
- Require hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Require proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
- Require experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Require strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
- Require proficiency in Bash, Python, or Go.
- Require understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture principles.
- Require excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Require a reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional environment for team calls.
- Require availability to work US time zones and comfort working as an independent contractor.
- Cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, GCP Professional, or Azure Administrator are nice to have.
- Experience with Istio or Linkerd, ArgoCD or Flux, cloud database management and scaling, SOC 2 or ISO 27001, and high-availability production environments is nice to have.
