Base Salary
$133k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services for episode and podcast management workflows
- Contribute to user-facing frontend surfaces using React and TypeScript
- Create and evolve APIs and services connecting user experiences with internal infrastructure
- Improve system performance and developer experience across the stack
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver integrated experiences
- Participate in technical discussions and RFCs and help shape platform decisions
- Support other engineers and maintain high standards for code quality and operational practices
Requirements
- Experience building and operating production backend systems using Java, Ruby on Rails, or similar languages and frameworks
- Some experience with React and TypeScript, or willingness to develop frontend skills
- Familiarity with distributed systems concepts including asynchronous processing, service-to-service APIs, storage design, and observability
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Interest in or familiarity with podcast ecosystems and creator tooling
