Responsibilities
- Build, support, and maintain full stack web application features for health system staff and patients.
- Develop across JavaScript, HTML, CSS, PHP, and SQL.
- Collaborate with Product, UX, and engineering teams on technical designs and new features.
- Modernize legacy applications and code with current frameworks and technologies.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote learning and teaching.
- Lead the team's technical roadmap.
- Use test automation, code reviews, and fast release cycles within an agile development process.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of professional full stack web development experience.
- Experience with object-oriented programming, primarily PHP, and relational databases, primarily MySQL.
- Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.
- Knowledge of unit and integration testing methodologies.
- Experience with distributed system architecture and asynchronous processing using queues such as AWS SQS.
- Experience with automated production logging, monitoring, and alerting.
- Preferred experience scaling real-time high-availability APIs.
- Preferred experience integrating payment gateways and processors including Stripe, Elavon, Authorize.Net, NMI, USAePay, WorldPay, or TSYS.
- Preferred knowledge of finance and banking processes such as merchant accounts, ACH, and settlement.
