Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain production frontend features with React and TypeScript.
- Translate decisioning, pricing, eligibility, experimentation, and content requirements into clear user workflows.
- Own frontend work from discovery and technical design through implementation, testing, release, production support, and iteration.
- Build data-rich interfaces including forms, tables, filters, query builders, visualizations, configuration editors, and drag-and-drop interactions.
- Integrate versioned REST APIs with caching, invalidation, loading states, validation, and error handling.
- Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end automated tests and use feature flags and telemetry for safe releases and production diagnosis.
- Improve frontend performance, resilience, maintainability, reusable interaction patterns, and developer feedback loops.
- Review code, contribute to technical decisions, mentor colleagues, and uphold engineering standards.
- Work directly with client stakeholders and delivery partners to explain frontend trade-offs and adapt scope while preserving usability, accessibility, and engineering quality.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Informatics or a similar field, or equivalent working experience.
- At least 6 years of IT experience with significant React experience and 10 years of overall experience.
- Substantial professional experience delivering production React applications with TypeScript.
- Experience building complex, data-rich business applications rather than primarily content or marketing websites.
- Strong knowledge of component design, hooks, routing, client and server state management, asynchronous data flows, and REST API integration.
- Experience delivering complex forms and workflows with robust validation, error handling, and clear user feedback.
- Practical experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end frontend testing.
- Strong HTML and CSS fundamentals, including responsive and accessible interface delivery.
- Evidence of independently owning substantial frontend work from design through production in a large or established codebase.
- Experience contributing to technical decisions, code reviews, reliable CI/CD delivery, and developing other engineers.
- Client-facing delivery experience in demanding or ambiguous environments, including explaining frontend trade-offs and responding to changing requirements.
- Experience with Redux or another mature client and server state management approach.
- Experience with Playwright, Cypress, or comparable end-to-end browser automation, and Jest, Vitest, or comparable unit-testing tools.
- Complex enterprise application experience with Angular or Vue may support the assessment, but strong recent React experience remains important.
- Experience with regulated, audited, workflow-heavy, or configuration-led products where correctness and safe release are important.
