Responsibilities
- Automate deployments and implement release governance.
- Design, implement, and manage observability dashboards, metrics, logs, traces, and alerting.
- Maintain SLAs, SLIs, and SLOs and monitor production systems for reliability and performance.
- Implement and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and develop automation scripts and self-healing mechanisms.
- Manage incident response, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, post-mortems, and service restoration.
- Create and maintain runbooks and knowledge articles and participate in infrastructure issue resolution.
- Enforce security best practices and support audit and compliance activities.
- Collaborate with product, operations, architecture, application, and cross-functional teams to ensure platform reliability.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong foundation in Java and scripting with Python, Bash, or Lua, along with AWS Cloud expertise.
- Deep knowledge of AWS services, including ECS, Lambda, CloudFormation or Terraform, IAM, networking, and security controls.
- Knowledge of SLIs, SLOs, performance benchmarking, telemetry data, observability, alerting, incident management, and high availability practices.
- Expertise with observability stacks such as Datadog, CloudWatch, and ELK/Kibana or equivalent.
- Experience proactively identifying and resolving platform issues and supporting streamlined integration experiences.
- Preferred experience in healthcare, fintech, or another regulated industry and familiarity with HIPAA, SOC 2, or HITRUST.
- Preferred background in platform-as-a-product practices, developer experience, internal tooling, self-service platforms, open-source infrastructure tooling, or technical writing.
- Fair understanding of information security practices and ability to follow organizational ISMS policies and procedures.
