Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and implementation of critical backend and frontend systems in Core Experiences.
- Lead cross-team initiatives across Warsaw and Redwood City and translate business priorities into technical roadmaps.
- Modernize the platform by breaking the monolith into modular or service-oriented architectures.
- Establish engineering patterns, frameworks, standards, continuous integration, deployment, and DevOps practices.
- Design and build AI-powered agents supporting coding, code review, testing, deployment, release readiness, and operations.
- Evaluate and integrate Cursor, Claude Code, Box AI, and other AI tooling into engineering workflows.
- Mentor senior and staff engineers and influence architecture, execution, and engineering culture.
- Prototype and contribute production-grade code across the stack while ensuring scalability, reliability, observability, security, and maintainability.
Requirements
- 12+ years of professional software engineering experience across backend and frontend.
- 5+ years leading complex, cross-team technical initiatives.
- Proven experience designing and shipping distributed systems at scale and operating from high-level architecture through low-level implementation.
- Hands-on experience breaking monoliths into service-oriented or modular architectures.
- Strong experience driving continuous integration, continuous delivery, and DevOps practices across engineering organizations.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Cursor and Claude Code; experience building LLM-powered engineering agents is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with AI or agent frameworks, prompt engineering, evaluation, and safe production deployment of AI workflows.
- Experience aligning cross-functional and cross-site stakeholders around architecture decisions and mentoring engineers.
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
