Responsibilities
- Investigate customer issues, identify root causes, and support prioritized customer investigations.
- Analyze customer problems and develop prevention plans to reduce recurring issues.
- Interface with customers to understand real-world usage and build representative test cases.
- Build tools, frameworks, and infrastructure that improve product quality and engineering productivity.
- Implement testing standards for data pipelines, ELT dataflows, and data visualizations.
- Lead initiatives that improve tooling, automation, integration speed, release velocity, and product quality.
- Execute testing across complex organizational configurations and varied data shapes.
- Monitor feature-level quality metrics such as testability, test health, and test coverage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across geographies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of experience testing analytical applications, data visualizations, data pipelines, and machine-learning models.
- Hands-on knowledge of object-oriented programming and scripting with Java, Python, and C#.
- Experience with JavaScript, software development best practices, and functional and end-to-end UI/API test automation.
- Experience with Selenium and tools including Git, TeamCity, and Linux.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP and familiarity with cloud database services.
- Experience with large datasets, data modeling, logical schema design, ETL/ELT, and data pipelines for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
- Knowledge of SQL or other data query languages such as Pig, and understanding of relational and columnar databases.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, independence, adaptability, problem-solving ability, and deadline management.
- Preferred qualifications include product development company experience, machine-learning and AI-assisted tooling experience with Cursor, MCP, or CoPilot, and software development experience.
