Responsibilities
- Conduct FHIR systems analysis, design, integration maintenance, programming, and implementation.
- Develop innovative, efficient, and cost-effective software solutions across multiple platforms.
- Guide engineers through software design, development, code testing, debugging, and issue resolution.
- Perform root-cause analysis, problem definition, solution implementation, verification, and ongoing optimization.
- Mentor and support engineers and other technology areas in developing and implementing software solutions.
- Use AWS, infrastructure, and labor cost data to support timely project and production decisions.
- Build relationships with Wellmark leaders and advise on business processes, technology enhancements, and capabilities.
- Participate in project proposals, estimates, proof-of-concept activities, and industry knowledge groups.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 1 year of FHIR experience.
- At least 2 years of design and development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience loading Dynamo or another NoSQL database with NodeJS.
- Experience with software development lifecycle methodologies and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, research, communication, collaboration, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to lead, mentor, coach, and work within diverse global development teams.
- Preferred experience includes working in an Agile team environment and partnering with global staffing vendors.
