Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deliver, and monitor scalable enterprise applications using Java and Angular or React.
- Gather business requirements and ensure software designs align with enterprise architecture and technology standards.
- Develop backend services and high-performance applications using Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, and web services.
- Build and operate secure, resilient, scalable cloud architectures using AWS and cloud-native platforms.
- Work with business partners on product definition, roadmaps, business cases, and team direction.
- Support zero-downtime production objectives, operational issue resolution, performance engineering, and application monitoring.
- Ensure development supports PCI, GLBA, Safe Harbor, and other certification and compliance requirements.
- Provide functional guidance, advice, and training to other application developers.
- Improve and expand the existing platform through secure, resilient, and scalable engineering practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years of industry experience.
- Strong full-stack Java experience with J2EE, Java 8 or higher, JSP, Servlets, Spring 5, Hibernate, and backend service development.
- Experience building and consuming SOAP and RESTful APIs and developing scalable, high-performance applications.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including efficient and optimized query development.
- Experience with React or Angular, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS.
- Hands-on experience with WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat, Visual Studio, RAD, Eclipse, IntelliJ, and VS Code.
- Experience or exposure to Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Chef, SonarQube, automated build processes, and deployment pipelines.
- Experience developing, deploying, monitoring, and scaling cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices-based architecture.
- Exposure to Databricks, Apache Spark, ETL pipelines, and Delta Lake concepts.
- Understanding of AI/ML concepts, AI-powered development tools, and integrating AI/ML services or APIs into applications.
- Experience with UNIX environments, shell scripting, awk, XML, XSLT, and related technologies.
- Understanding of Agile and Waterfall SDLC models, along with strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and ownership skills.
