Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, high-performance backend services using Golang.
- Build and operate distributed systems and microservices architectures.
- Contribute to system design, API contracts, data models, and architecture decisions.
- Drive cloud-native development using modern deployment and operational practices.
- Ensure code quality, testability, maintainability, reliability, and scalability.
- Integrate AI/ML-driven capabilities where applicable.
- Implement secure coding practices and platform security standards.
- Collaborate with Dev, QA, DevOps, and Platform teams to deliver reliable solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering excellence and best practices.
- Drive engineering initiatives, platform improvements, system reliability, cost optimization, and architectural evolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of coursework and experience or extensive related professional experience.
- 7–10 years of relevant work experience; the role description specifies 8–10 years of software development experience.
- Hands-on production experience developing in Golang with strong backend expertise.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, core programming, design patterns, clean coding, distributed systems, scalability, fault tolerance, and resiliency.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and microservices architecture.
- Working knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases, preferably Cassandra, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with REST or gRPC APIs, event-driven architectures, Kafka or messaging systems, and observability through logging, monitoring, and tracing.
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, secure APIs, and security best practices.
- Exposure to AI/ML concepts, tooling, or AI-assisted development workflows.
- Preferred experience with Python, Java, or Scala.
- Preferred experience with platform engineering, DevOps, SRE practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
- Ability to own end-to-end features, solve problems analytically, collaborate effectively, and communicate clearly.
