Base Salary
$209k - $286k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and evolve cloud-based solutions for internal data access and analysis.
- Own the enforcement layer that enables governed AI-agent access to consumption platforms.
- Lead MCP wrapper and implementation delivery and integrate model-context enrichment systems.
- Drive security, dependency-hardening, vulnerability remediation, and platform-hygiene work.
- Close correctness and feature-parity gaps across Snowflake and Databricks query engines, including routing, rate limiting, filtering, and concurrency and memory efficiency.
- Build observability and reliability practices with instrumentation, dashboards, alerting, and cross-region resilience.
- Mentor engineers, contribute to technology communities, and influence architecture, coding standards, and enterprise technical strategy.
- Work primarily in Python on AWS ECS Fargate.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Preferred: 9+ years coding with more than two of Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, and Scala.
- Preferred: experience with open-source frameworks, front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, databases, cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing frameworks, and Git-based version control.
- Preferred: experience mentoring senior engineers, troubleshooting cloud issues, using observability to optimize distributed systems, leading architecture reviews, establishing coding standards, and implementing reliability practices at scale.
- Preferred: experience with AI-based coding tools, interactive AI productivity tooling, cross-functional engineering efforts, large-scale technical initiatives, and portfolio- or business-unit-level technology strategy.
