Responsibilities

  • Communicate with technology product leads to identify improvements to current and future technology solutions.
  • Develop large-scale distributed systems for intraday and end-of-day risk, PnL, and market-scenario computation and reporting.
  • Redesign pricing and workflow applications supporting sales and traders.
  • Redesign front-to-back risk-scenario infrastructure for Fundamental Review of the Trading Book.
  • Revamp market-data and marking systems on a strategic cross-asset platform.
  • Design APIs that allow pricing and risk analytics to be accessed by internal systems and processes.
  • Provide day-to-day IT coverage for the Macro business in EMEA and interact with sales, trading, desk strategies, FID COOs, operations, controllers, and market risk teams.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated software engineering, analytical, problem-solving, distributed-computing or cloud-computing, and performance-tuning skills.
  • Professional experience developing with Java or Scala.
  • Understanding of DevOps and continuous development principles.
  • Strong interest in learning about financial markets.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related computational discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • At least six years of relevant experience is generally expected.
  • Preferred experience with HTML5, AngularJS, C++, APL, KDB/Q, A+, full-stack development, the JVM, fixed income markets, financial models, risk management, financial risk systems, or trading-tool development.
