Base Salary

$138k - $185k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications for Internal Audit in collaboration with business and customer stakeholders.
  • Develop Java and Python cloud-native microservices, define REST service contracts, and integrate with internal and third-party services.
  • Build and enhance React-based user experiences using modern web engineering practices.
  • Deploy containerized services and support releases to private and public cloud environments, preferably AWS.
  • Create proofs of concept, evaluate frameworks and libraries, and establish engineering best practices.
  • Conduct design and peer code reviews while promoting readability, testing, security, resiliency, and maintainability.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated release processes, including package promotion across environments.
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies, technical reviews, configuration management, deployment, and operational-readiness improvements.
  • Use authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Contribute to monitoring, incident triage, root-cause analysis, operational stability, and preventative fixes.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
  • Experience building distributed applications with Java 8 or later, Spring Boot or Spring, and RESTful microservices.
  • Experience developing and maintaining services or automation in Python in a large enterprise environment.
  • Working knowledge of React and JavaScript or TypeScript, including API integration patterns.
  • Experience with CI/CD practices covering builds, tests, quality checks, packaging, deployment, and environment promotion.
  • Experience with Docker, ECS and/or Kubernetes, and cloud deployment, preferably AWS.
  • Understanding of application resiliency, logging, monitoring, alerting, performance, operational support, authentication, authorization, secrets management, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Hands-on experience using authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating and refining their outputs.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
  • Preferred experience integrating LLM-based capabilities, retrieval patterns, evaluation approaches, guardrails, AI-agent workflows, Angular, cloud service integrations, and event-driven or messaging patterns.
  • Strong problem-solving, research, investigation, presentation, evaluation, communication, and delivery skills.
