Base Salary

$103k - $164k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement an Internal Developer Portal with self-service infrastructure, application templates, deployment workflows, golden paths, service catalogs, documentation, and ownership metadata.
  • Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for Java, .NET, and Node.js applications across AWS and Azure.
  • Integrate CI/CD with cloud infrastructure, identity management, observability platforms, automated testing, security scanning, and quality gates.
  • Design and manage AWS and Azure infrastructure, secure cloud networking, reusable Terraform modules, policy-as-code governance, high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, vulnerability scanning, secrets management, and other DevSecOps practices.
  • Lead proof-of-concept evaluations for new tools, platforms, and automation processes.
  • Partner with engineering, security, and operations teams to improve reliability, performance, deployment practices, and developer experience.

Requirements

  • 10 or more years of progressive experience in software engineering, DevOps, cloud engineering, or platform engineering, including evolution from software development into cloud infrastructure and automation.
  • Six or more years of hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and modern software delivery practices.
  • Deep development expertise in Java and/or Node.js application environments.
  • Strong hands-on AWS and/or Azure experience, including networking, serverless, and managed cloud infrastructure.
  • Advanced Terraform and infrastructure-as-code proficiency, including experience with Ansible and AWS CloudFormation.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Microsoft SQL Server, including SQL Server Availability Groups.
  • Strong scripting skills with Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with scalable cloud-native architectures, Docker, Kubernetes, secure software delivery, Git branching strategies, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Experience leading technical evaluations and proof-of-concept initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, engineering, mathematics, information systems, or a related technical field.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with commercial Internal Developer Portals such as Harness IDP or Port, platform engineering, developer self-service, service mesh, API gateways, cloud-native networking, security automation, compliance guardrails, observability platforms, multicloud or hybrid cloud environments, and AWS or Azure certifications.
