Responsibilities
- Collaborate with client stakeholders and internal track teams to define DevOps requirements, deliverables, and release expectations.
- Assess and improve branching strategies, environment management, deployment models, and quality gates for migration engagements.
- Design, implement, and maintain Salesforce CI/CD pipelines, environment frameworks, deployment automation, and release governance standards.
- Lead Salesforce DevOps setup and go-live cutover automation for small-to-medium migration waves.
- Collaborate with Technical Architects on phased deployment pipelines, environment dependencies, and governance for larger programs.
- Maintain environment promotion through Dev, SIT, UAT, Pre-Prod, and Production stages with automated gates and health monitoring.
- Build reusable pipeline templates, custom GitHub Actions, SFDX utilities, deployment manifests, and DevOps accelerators.
- Govern metadata versioning, conflict resolution, org ownership maps, and concurrent track deployment procedures.
- Define pipeline health, deployment success, execution time, test failure, coverage, availability, and cutover accuracy metrics.
- Represent DevOps concerns in Architecture Review Board sessions and support developer onboarding and enablement.
Requirements
- 6+ years of hands-on Salesforce platform experience focused on DevOps, release management, and CI/CD implementation.
- 3+ years of dedicated Salesforce CI/CD pipeline design involving multi-org strategies, sandbox lifecycle automation, and metadata deployment pipelines.
- Expert Salesforce DX, Salesforce CLI, Metadata API, Apex, Lightning Web Components, source tracking, scratch orgs, and Tooling API experience.
- Strong experience with Copado, Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Azure DevOps Pipelines, including complex multi-stage pipelines.
- Expert Git experience with GitHub and Bitbucket, including GitFlow, GitHub Flow, trunk-based development, and release governance.
- Experience with Salesforce sandbox strategies, Change Sets, packages, Metadata API deployments, and migration environment pyramids.
- Experience integrating Salesforce test automation, code quality, static analysis, security scanning, secrets management, and monitoring tools.
- Experience supporting concurrent multi-track programs, resolving pipeline and environment conflicts, and executing at least two Salesforce migration or implementation cutovers.
- Experience building reusable pipeline templates, DevOps accelerators, and branching governance standards adopted by multiple teams.
- Strong client-facing communication and project leadership skills.
- Required certifications: Salesforce Platform Developer I, Salesforce Certified DevOps Accredited Professional, and Salesforce Administrator.
- Preferred qualifications include Salesforce Platform Developer II, Copado, Gearset, GitHub Actions, Salesforce Application Architect, Terraform or Pulumi, Salesforce Shield, DevOps Center, Veracode, Salesforce CLI plugins, cross-cloud deployments, Mockaroo, Snowfakery, and Python scripting.
