Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, document, deploy, and troubleshoot platforms and related services across laboratory and production environments.
  • Manage designated IT applications and systems as the primary contact for business stakeholders and key users.
  • Gather and implement requirements for system enhancements, interface integrations, and module optimization.
  • Analyze systems and implement measures for stability, availability, performance, and security.
  • Coordinate internal and external IT service providers, development partners, hosting partners, and HCL.
  • Participate in on-call support, incident response, root cause analysis, and rare night shifts.
  • Lead projects for new solution implementations and improvements to existing systems and services.
  • Contribute to IT budget planning, forecasting, cost control, and cloud cost optimization.

Requirements

  • Hands-on expertise with AWS, Azure, or GCP, Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Ansible, and Linux or Windows systems.
  • Proficiency in API management and deployment automation using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
  • Knowledge of IAM, vulnerability scanning, TCP/IP networking, system tracing, root cause analysis, ITIL, and change and incident management.
  • Experience gathering business requirements, translating them into technical plans, and leading projects using Agile or Scrum methods.
  • Experience coordinating internal teams and external IT service providers while meeting Service Level Agreements.
  • Scripting and automation experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
