Base Salary
$230k - $265k/yr
Responsibilities
- Transform data scientist training/inference notebooks into reusable software components.
- Create developer-friendly ML abstractions such as SDKs and CLIs.
- Build and scale a low-latency real-time ML inference platform.
- Enhance batch ML inference with improved scheduling and observability.
- Design and expand the feature store for high throughput and consistency.
- Ensure platform reliability through monitoring and incident response.
- Collaborate with Data Science on underwriting infrastructure.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, particularly in ML platform/MLOps.
- Strong proficiency in Python and solid software design fundamentals.
- Experience with SQL and hands-on Spark/PySpark.
- Knowledge of ML fundamentals and production concerns.
- Expertise with modern data/ML stacks like AWS and Databricks.
- Experience in building real-time systems and batch pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and proactive ownership.
