Responsibilities
- Improve the performance, availability, and scalability of large distributed content delivery systems.
- Define and establish measurable Service Level Indicators and Objectives with cross-functional Product and Engineering teams.
- Review system designs and provide technical guidance to meet scalability, performance, reliability, and robustness requirements.
- Monitor platform availability and performance, analyze data to debug issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Develop automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce repetitive work.
- Collaborate on deployment, monitoring, incident response, business continuity, and system optimization.
- Advocate for reliability, security, automation, and operational best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Expertise in Python, Bash, and JavaScript for automation and tool development.
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ADBMS, and Datadog for monitoring, alerting, and dashboards.
- Proficiency in UNIX/Linux environments and comprehensive systems expertise.
- Experience using Oracle SQL for data integrity checks, root-cause analysis, and reporting.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork, customer focus, accountability, and self-direction.
