Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Java backend services, APIs, and microservices.
- Implement features based on business and technical requirements.
- Design and maintain integrations with internal and external systems.
- Develop RESTful APIs and event-driven solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production and non-production issues.
- Participate in code reviews and uphold code quality and development standards.
- Monitor application performance and contribute to reliability, scalability, and observability.
- Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement in architecture, development processes, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Experience developing backend applications using Java.
- Experience with Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem.
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed-systems concepts.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
- Familiarity with Kafka and RabbitMQ.
- Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Knowledge of unit and integration testing practices and frameworks.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Understanding of logging, monitoring, metrics, and other observability concepts.
- Intermediate English skills.
- Preferred familiarity with MongoDB, Redis, event-driven architectures, New Relic, Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, Python, or other scripting languages.
