Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate backend services within the Java-based event-driven microservices architecture.
- Make sound technical decisions with incomplete information during the team and product transition.
- Evaluate personal, teammate, and AI-generated code for correctness, quality, security, and performance.
Requirements
- Have 4–5 years of backend Java experience, including building and operating microservice and event-driven architectures.
- Work independently and collaboratively with sound judgment and tolerance for ambiguity.
- Have hands-on experience using AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex.
- Bring reliable prompt-engineering skills to produce production-ready outputs.
- Experience may also be demonstrated through extracurricular leadership, military experience, volunteer work, or other aligned competencies.
- Experience with acquisition-related team or product integration is preferred.
- Experience with usage-based billing, metering, or rating systems is preferred.
- Experience contributing to documented system context, design standards, and constraints is preferred.
