Responsibilities
- Build and operate reliable cloud services on AWS and Cloudflare using compute, storage, networking, and managed infrastructure.
- Evolve the infrastructure powering full-stack web applications and AI agents on Webflow Cloud.
- Participate in on-call rotations, investigate production incidents, and implement improvements to prevent recurrence.
- Use CDN and edge compute capabilities to deliver fast and resilient websites and applications.
- Own features from customer discovery and technical design through implementation, rollout, and ongoing operation.
- Apply AI-assisted development practices with rigorous validation and accountability for code quality.
- Contribute to engineering blogs, hiring processes, and internal hackathon teams.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years building and operating backend services in production.
- Experience designing backend service boundaries, contracts, and data ownership.
- Business-level fluency in written and spoken English.
- Experience building and operating production services on AWS, Cloudflare, or similar cloud platforms.
- Experience designing data models, optimizing queries, and operating production databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
- Fluency in TypeScript and Node.js, with comfort using edge runtimes.
- Understanding of HTTP, caching, CDNs, edge compute, and modern website and web application architecture.
- Ability to apply performance, security, accessibility, and reliability best practices.
- Ability to make pragmatic technical decisions balancing customer needs, delivery speed, and maintainability.
