Responsibilities
- Build and evolve the Telemetry solution for performance analysis on Arm systems.
- Work with architects and analysis teams to translate findings and requirements into features, tests, examples, and documentation.
- Validate performance methodologies with synthetic workloads and targeted microbenchmarks, occasionally using Arm assembly.
- Partner with kernel and firmware teams to ensure performance-measurement primitives such as PMUs and perf_event interfaces are available and usable.
- Ship and iterate on developer-facing tools with real users.
Requirements
- Strong Python skills for tooling, data processing, and workflow automation.
- Comfortable with C and C++ for reasoning across kernel and userspace low-level performance systems.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Experience shipping developer-facing tools and iterating with real users.
- SQL experience, such as SQLite, is nice to have.
- Experience with TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, and WebSocket for static web application frontends is nice to have.
- Exposure to hardware system architecture, including pipelines, caches, MMUs, interconnects, timers, and multithreading, is preferred.
- Open-source contributions, modern CI/CD experience, OS primitives knowledge, assembly basics, and familiarity with Arm architecture are preferred.
