Responsibilities
- Design and build robust backend services in Go for the financial risk steering cycle and decision-making workflows.
- Develop and operate end-to-end distributed systems and microservices on the cloud.
- Build ML-powered systems in partnership with Data Scientists and ML Engineers, from design through validated production outcomes.
- Develop scalable, resilient, event-driven systems using pub-sub and messaging platforms.
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and documentation.
- Partner with Risk, Engineering, and Data Science teams to clarify requirements and communicate technical trade-offs in business terms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
- 7–10 years of experience in sophisticated technology environments, including cloud-native applications, scalability challenges, and event-driven solutions.
- Strong, production-proven experience in Go and confidence in at least one additional language such as Python or Java.
- Experience designing or operating distributed systems and microservices architectures at scale.
- Experience with AWS or a similar cloud provider.
- Understanding of event-driven platforms, pub-sub, and messaging brokers such as Kafka, NSQ, or RabbitMQ.
- Experience with ML-powered products is preferred.
- Product-oriented mindset, attention to detail, and fluent communication with cross-functional partners.
