Responsibilities
- Design, configure, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable Salesforce and BigCommerce commerce solutions.
- Build reusable commerce components and integrations with enterprise and third-party systems.
- Develop Salesforce capabilities using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, SOQL/SOSL, and platform APIs.
- Develop and support BigCommerce storefront and platform capabilities using Stencil, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, REST/GraphQL APIs, and webhooks.
- Deliver enhancements across catalog, customers, checkout, orders, subscriptions, content, analytics, personalization, and integrations.
- Perform technical design, impact analysis, unit testing, code reviews, deployment preparation, debugging, production troubleshooting, and post-production validation.
- Balance roadmap delivery with production support, technical debt reduction, vulnerability remediation, and platform stability.
- Collaborate with product, architecture, UX, analytics, quality engineering, DevOps, operations, and business stakeholders.
- Contribute to commerce modernization, migration, reusable capabilities, documentation, knowledge transfer, and continuous improvement.
- Use established standards for security, data protection, code quality, testing, deployment, governance, and performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- At least 2 years of progressive software development experience with Salesforce, BigCommerce, or comparable enterprise commerce platforms.
- Hands-on experience with at least one primary commerce platform and the ability and willingness to become productive in the other.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, API integrations, Git-based source control, debugging, and repeatable testing practices.
- Experience working in Agile teams and translating business requirements into maintainable technical solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, collaboration, and independent execution skills.
- Preferred Salesforce experience includes Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, SOQL/SOSL, Salesforce APIs, and Salesforce Commerce capabilities.
- Preferred BigCommerce experience includes Stencil, storefront customization, REST/GraphQL APIs, webhooks, checkout, catalog, orders, subscriptions, and integrations.
- Preferred experience includes Copado, GitHub Actions, or comparable CI/CD and DevOps tooling.
- Preferred integration experience includes MuleSoft, Oracle ERP, payment, tax, shipping, analytics, or personalization services.
- Preferred experience includes Google Tag Manager, commerce analytics/data layers, performance optimization, accessibility practices, and global production systems.
- Salesforce Platform Developer certification and/or BigCommerce technical certification or equivalent demonstrated expertise is preferred.
- Ability to follow workplace health and safety instructions and report hazards and incidents.
