Base Salary
$183k - $237k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead technical projects that improve how engineers build, test, and ship Bubble code.
- Migrate off legacy frameworks and introduce modern frontend tooling.
- Upgrade shared libraries and improve support for Bubble’s internal design system.
- Reduce test suite runtime and improve the reliability of developer-facing tests.
- Optimize the local development loop, including build, bundling, and hot reload times.
- Investigate and resolve frontend performance regressions in the Editor.
- Define standards and build frameworks that other Core teams can adopt.
- Incorporate modern AI tools into developer workflows.
- Mentor teammates, establish high-quality coding and architecture standards, and promote best practices across Core engineering.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a history of delivering high-impact technical projects.
- Strong proficiency with modern frontend frameworks including TypeScript, SolidJS, or React, with the ability to work across the stack.
- Deep experience with developer tooling such as build systems, bundlers, testing frameworks, package managers, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience modernizing large, complex codebases through framework migrations, dependency upgrades, and maintainable architecture design.
- Experience organizing and leading projects spanning multiple engineers with measurable outcomes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to balance pragmatic improvements with scalable solutions.
- Clear communication, effective cross-team collaboration, and experience mentoring engineers at different levels.
- Curiosity and adaptability, including proactively identifying inefficiencies and designing solutions that scale beyond the immediate team.
