Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Participate in daily stand-up meetings with the software team.
- Analyze technical requirements and design software to implement formal requirements.
- Implement software designs across embedded Linux, PC software, and embedded systems.
- Debug, identify root causes, and correct software defects.
- Create and maintain formal software design documentation.
- Assist other groups with understanding product behavior.
- Work with product management to respond to customer comments.
- Perform hands-on testing, setup, troubleshooting, and hardware inspection in an electronics lab.
- Lift, carry, and move test hardware and equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Use hand tools and connect small components, cables, connectors, and test fixtures while following ESD and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology, or a closely related field.
- Minimum five years of professional experience with the C programming language.
- Experience with embedded systems and bare-metal programming.
- Demonstrable passion for programming through projects or open-source contributions.
- Ability to suggest and implement process improvements and manage multiple work streams.
- Clear and accurate verbal and written English communication skills.
- Self-motivation, prioritization ability, deadline management, and strong attention to detail.
- Willingness to embrace AI for more efficient workflows.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
- Ability to travel internationally, including to the United States.
- Successful completion of a background check as a condition of employment.
