Responsibilities
- Define the technical vision and architecture for large-scale supply chain data platforms on AWS, Databricks, and Azure.
- Lead architecture and design decisions across data products and multiple development teams throughout the full solution lifecycle.
- Mentor data engineers, technical leads, and engineering managers while raising technical standards and organizational capability.
- Coordinate multiple development teams, priorities, dependencies, delivery rhythms, risks, and execution plans when required.
- Partner with product, operations, architecture, platform, and supply chain stakeholders to turn strategic priorities into technical roadmaps.
- Establish modern engineering practices covering cloud-native architecture, DevSecOps automation, observability, reliability engineering, and software delivery quality.
- Set standards for responsible AI-assisted engineering, including review, security, code quality, experimentation, and adoption.
- Provide senior leadership with visibility into technical direction, delivery health, tradeoffs, risks, and key decisions.
- Stay close to supply chain operations to ensure platform architecture reflects real operational needs.
Requirements
- 8+ years designing and delivering complex enterprise data and software solutions, including large-scale transformation initiatives.
- 5+ years of experience with cloud-native data architecture on AWS, Databricks, and Azure, distributed systems, modern integration patterns, and scalable platform design.
- 5+ years delivering data solutions using Python, PySpark, SQL, Databricks, Apache Spark, AWS Redshift, streaming frameworks, and modern DevOps or platform-engineering practices.
- Expertise in data architecture, distributed data processing, domain-driven design, scalable data platforms, streaming and event-driven systems, data governance, security, observability, reliability, and operational excellence.
- Experience designing and implementing AI/ML solutions involving data preparation, model integration, inference workflows, automation use cases, AWS SageMaker, and AWS Bedrock.
- Demonstrated ability to set technical direction, influence across teams, mentor senior engineers, coordinate multiple software development teams, and lead without authority.
- Experience aligning roadmaps, managing dependencies, driving execution across cross-functional stakeholders, and working in shared engineering and operations team models.
- Ability to balance technical excellence, delivery outcomes, AI-enabled engineering, quality, security, and cost optimization.
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical strategy, tradeoffs, and delivery status to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with globally distributed teams, supply chain or manufacturing platforms, AWS or Databricks certifications, large-scale transformation, enterprise LLMs or AI agents, productivity tooling, and emerging-technology adoption.
