Base Salary

$157k - $299k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead the software architecture vision and long-term roadmap for the SPY-6 Family of Radars across multiple configurations.
  • Provide technical leadership across programs and subcontractors while driving modernization initiatives, modular open-system architectures, DevSecOps, and digital engineering.
  • Collaborate with systems, hardware, Navy, and industry stakeholders to define capabilities and maintain end-to-end system coherence.
  • Identify and mitigate critical technical risks, direct subcontractor technical approaches, and maintain consistency across radar variants and shared software components.
  • Establish architectural standards, interface definitions, and design patterns for software quality, maintainability, and product-line integrity.
  • Lead cross-baseline alignment and adoption of model-based architecture and digital engineering tools.
  • Support technical reviews, new business pursuits, proposal contributions, and mentoring of senior engineers.

Requirements

  • A STEM degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience are required.
  • Experience with real-time, distributed, or mission-critical software systems and complex architectures across multivariant product lines is required.
  • Experience shaping technical direction across large organizations, external partners, and customer communities is required.
  • Experience with C++, Linux-based systems, high-performance computing, and modern software engineering practices is required.
  • Experience leading major technical reviews, independent architecture assessments, software modernization, containerization, and microservices is required.
  • Experience with SysML/UML, digital thread or digital twin concepts, and architecture modeling tools is required.
  • Radar domain experience, cyber architecture collaboration, software safety standards, and software assurance experience are required.
  • An active and transferable Secret U.S. government-issued security clearance is required before starting, with the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance after start.
  • Preferred qualifications include distributed middleware, high-bandwidth sensor systems, data-intensive computing, Docker, Kubernetes, automated test infrastructure, secure software development, Ethernet networking, fault tolerance, redundant architecture, and customer-facing technical communication.
