Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and evolution of scalable, secure, highly available trading infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Provide technical direction, mentorship, and guidance while remaining a hands-on contributor to DevOps, automation, infrastructure, and platform engineering initiatives.
  • Build and improve CI/CD pipelines for Java and Python applications across multiple environments.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments, configuration, database schema creation, and operational workflows.
  • Support production systems through high availability, disaster recovery, incident response, vulnerability management, patching, and change management.
  • Containerize applications and support deployments using container orchestration platforms.
  • Troubleshoot deployment, performance, networking, and infrastructure issues and reduce recurring manual work through automation.
  • Develop AI-enabled capabilities for infrastructure automation, observability, incident response, and platform engineering.
  • Lead and participate in Agile delivery practices using Jira to manage priorities, dependencies, and delivery tracking.
  • Establish best practices for CI/CD, observability, reliability, cloud operations, and infrastructure automation.

Requirements

  • Hands-on technical lead experience with experience mentoring and guiding engineers.
  • Experience with Agile delivery, planning, prioritization, backlog refinement, sprint ceremonies, dependency management, and distributed-team delivery tracking.
  • Experience using Jira or similar tools and communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Linux/Unix administration, operational support, troubleshooting, and performance-tuning experience.
  • Scripting or programming experience in Python, Bash, or similar technologies.
  • CI/CD pipeline experience with Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools.
  • Experience with containerization, artifact publishing, infrastructure as code, and configuration management using Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of networking, routing, traffic flow, high availability, resiliency, capacity, and latency in distributed systems.
  • Experience supporting customer-facing, low-latency, high-availability, or other business-critical platforms.
  • Monitoring, logging, and observability experience, including Splunk or similar tools.
  • Kubernetes or other container orchestration experience and hands-on AWS and hybrid-cloud experience, including EC2, ALB, S3, RDS/Aurora, and EFS.
  • Experience supporting financial systems, trading platforms, market data platforms, feeds, or similar low-latency infrastructure, including knowledge of unicast and multicast networking.
  • Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor and contributing to AI-enabled automation or infrastructure strategy.
  • Proven success working in a global, matrixed organization.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, Terraform Associate, RHCE, PSM, CSM, or ITIL are preferred.
