Responsibilities
- Evolve the MLOps platform to improve operational robustness, performance, scalability, reliability, and observability.
- Own end-to-end delivery of software products including workflow orchestration, APIs and services, and front-end user interfaces.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure AI solutions address business needs and use high-quality data.
- Integrate AI-driven solutions with existing insurance operations systems in coordination with IT and operations teams.
- Apply advancements in AI and machine learning to improve deployed solution capabilities and efficiency.
- Use CI/CD tools and agile practices to deliver features and updates reliably.
- Mentor squad members and influence the technical roadmap.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or equivalent education and experience.
- At least 3 years of significant development experience.
- Strong Python skills.
- Proficiency with cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS, containers, Terraform, CI/CD, and observability.
- Experience with automated backend and UI testing and familiarity with observability tools and practices.
- Understanding of GenAI building blocks including prompting techniques, agentic frameworks, evaluations, guardrails, RAG, embeddings and vector databases, model fine-tuning, graph databases with LLMs, MCP, and reasoning models.
- Strong data engineering skills and knowledge of MLOps best practices.
- Proficiency in AI-assisted coding.
- Angular or React experience is considered an asset.
- Databricks experience, including Unity Catalog and Delta Lake, is considered an asset.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and business-to-technical translation skills.
- Candidates located in Quebec must be bilingual in French and English.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada from the anticipated start date and throughout employment; no Canadian work experience is required.
