Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, manage, and support secure, scalable, reliable, and automated cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS.
- Provide technical support and resolve production, network performance, cloud, and operational issues through triage, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Azure DevOps for cloud provisioning, network configuration, and operational automation.
- Monitor and optimize cloud, network, and security services for availability, performance, security, and cost efficiency.
- Configure and manage cloud networking, Palo Alto firewalls, Panorama, operating systems, container platforms, and security services.
- Lead cloud platform initiatives by gathering requirements, designing solutions, coordinating implementation, and working with internal stakeholders.
- Use AI tools to improve incident response, troubleshooting, documentation, operational insights, and engineering self-service.
- Participate in on-call support and timely incident response outside regular business hours.
- Research and adopt AWS services, AI-powered solutions, cloud-native technologies, and DevOps/platform engineering tools.
- Mentor junior colleagues and serve as a technical subject matter expert across departmental teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and operating cloud platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure.
- Extensive experience in infrastructure operations, cloud platform engineering, network engineering, scripting, CI/CD, automation, system monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
- Strong experience configuring and managing Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama, including security rules, URL filtering, proxies, SSL decryption, and threat prevention.
- Strong knowledge of AWS networking services including Amazon VPC, load balancers, Internet Gateway, NAT Gateway, Transit Gateway, and Direct Connect.
- Experience with AWS security services including AWS WAF and AWS Shield, along with cloud security, networking, and data protection principles.
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef for Infrastructure as Code and automation.
- Scripting experience with Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Experience administering Windows Server and Linux systems, including Active Directory and DNS.
- Demonstrated use of AI tools for IT operations, incident response, troubleshooting, or root-cause analysis.
- Experience with vulnerability management, patch management, hybrid environments, and compliance.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong technical analysis, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, collaboration, and adaptability skills.
- Cloud or infrastructure certifications are considered assets, including AWS Certified Solutions Architecture Professional, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions, Azure Administrator Associate, Terraform Associate, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
