Responsibilities

  • Set architecture direction for the Investment Management/Fund Services pod in alignment with enterprise standards, technology strategy, and business priorities.
  • Define and govern domain standards, patterns, reference architectures, designs, and technology guardrails for resilient, scalable, and secure buy-side applications.
  • Develop target-state architecture and multi-year modernization roadmaps for portfolio analytics, fund services, and data management.
  • Resolve cross-solution architectural issues involving low-latency data integration, interoperability, dependencies, sequencing, trade-offs, and risk.
  • Guide and coach others on architectural principles, secure high-performance engineering, and quality expectations without direct people management.
  • Identify technical debt and architectural risk and sponsor remediation and modernization from legacy systems to cloud-native solutions.
  • Lead data-centric solution design with auditable data lineage and governance for financial calculations, trading decisions, and ledger adjustments.
  • Participate in architecture standards, pattern, knowledge-sharing, and peer-review activities.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience leading architecture across complex, enterprise-scale financial-services portfolios.
  • Strong capability in governance, standards, target-state design, integration, and roadmap definition.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive outcomes across multiple teams without direct line authority.
  • Experience with the end-to-end investment lifecycle, including portfolio construction, quantitative modeling, order management, risk analytics, compliance, NAV calculation, and fund accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of wealth management, capital markets, and financial services, including Mutual Funds, ETFs, and Institutional SMAs.
  • Knowledge of public global equities, fixed income, derivatives, private markets, and associated data structures.
  • Experience with global asset managers, market vendors, Accounting Book of Record and Investment Book of Record solutions, packaged or SaaS solutions, and capital-markets technology stacks.
  • Knowledge of enterprise data architecture, relational databases, cloud data platforms, high-performance analytics, and parallel computing techniques.
  • Experience or familiarity with MuleSoft, SQL Server, Oracle, Google BigQuery, Snowflake, NumPy, Pandas, multi-threading, NVIDIA CUDA, Jira, Confluence, Kanban, Sprint Boards, AI agentic solutions, MCP servers, and prompt context optimization.
