Base Salary
$142k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop responsive, high-performance web applications using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern UI frameworks.
- Lead development of larger features and epics while owning user experience decisions and collaborating with UX/UI designers.
- Design and integrate APIs and backend services for seamless application communication.
- Optimize frontend performance, scalability, and responsiveness.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code and influence engineering best practices.
- Lead code reviews and technical discussions, share knowledge, mentor teammates, and onboard new team members.
- Build and enhance scalable frontend frameworks and solutions while identifying product improvements.
- Deliver multiple projects using the team’s Agile methodology and improve development processes and technical tools.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in web application development or software engineering using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS.
- Expertise with modern UI frameworks and strong knowledge of UI performance optimization techniques.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD workflows, testing frameworks, feature leadership, and mentoring or onboarding teammates.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics, or a comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred: familiarity with AWS S3, EKS, EC2, SQS/SNS, Lambda, and RDS.
- Preferred: understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, WebSockets, performance and application profiling, and a curiosity about Disney’s technology and media business.
