Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions using Core Java, including writing code, unit tests, and participating in code and design reviews.
- Ensure software is scalable, maintainable, performant, and compliant with secure coding practices.
- Enhance the APAC Flow Volatility Risk Pricing platform supporting pricing, analytics, volatility fitting and visualization, hedging, trade capture, and position management.
- Collaborate with global engineering peers and cross-functional partners in trading, sales, quantitative research, compliance, risk, and operations.
- Provide second-level support for the application.
- Guide technical direction, contribute to strategy, advise stakeholders, manage risks and controls, and coach less experienced specialists.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another analytical field.
- Advanced Core Java expertise with hands-on multithreaded programming experience.
- Experience with Linux and distributed file systems.
- Knowledge of equity derivatives, including pricing, risk, and order management.
- Knowledge of zero garbage collection principles is desirable.
- Messaging experience with technologies such as Solace or ZeroMQ is desirable.
- Experience with distributed systems and high-performance, low-latency trading or risk management applications is desirable.
