Base Salary
$180k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the Android mobile product lifecycle from conceptualization and architectural design through development, testing, and launch.
- Develop the privacy-focused mobile application using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Create coding guidelines, participate in code reviews, and promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Implement and oversee testing, monitoring, and release processes for application security, performance, and stability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and product designers to improve workflows and deliver cohesive user experiences.
- Launch applications through Google Play Store and alternative privacy-conscious app stores.
Requirements
- 4+ years of Android software development experience.
- Background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Kotlin and strong foundational knowledge of the Android ecosystem, including architecture, app lifecycle, and concurrency.
- Professional Jetpack Compose experience is preferred.
- Experience with Android concurrency and storage frameworks such as Coroutines, Room, and DataStore.
- Familiarity with privacy-focused Android operating systems.
- Experience brainstorming and iterating with product designers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently, learn continuously, and make practical tradeoffs.
- Bonus qualifications include knowledge of cryptography, trusted execution environments, StrongBox, eSIM, 4G, or 5G.
