Base Salary
$190k - $322k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a small team of software engineers developing digital interfaces for robotic surgical systems.
- Develop embedded graphical interfaces for the da Vinci product line using Qt and modern C/C++.
- Maintain development standards from prototypes through production and implement the product’s visual language.
- Collaborate with interaction and visual designers to deliver functional and polished interfaces.
- Contribute to system and software architecture and help select graphical-interface tools.
- Collaborate with platform software, mechanical, and electrical engineers to explore and prototype new user-interface technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in software, electrical, computer engineering, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of industry experience developing and supporting digital interfaces.
- Fluency in object-oriented programming with modern C/C++.
- Experience with GUI development frameworks and Qt.
- Experience leading complex, collaborative 2D and 3D user-interface design and development.
- Experience across product development phases including design, implementation, debugging, verification, and maintenance.
- Experience or interest in leading, mentoring, and managing software developers.
- Preferred experience in embedded software development and 3D graphics frameworks such as OpenGL or Vulkan.
