Responsibilities
- Partner with business and domain teams to translate complex challenges into high-value AI product opportunities.
- Rapidly prototype, test, demonstrate, and refine solutions with users.
- Build end-to-end AI applications using Python, TypeScript, React, foundation models, and reusable platform capabilities.
- Use AI-assisted development tools and coding agents while maintaining quality, security, and maintainability.
- Develop retrieval-augmented generation, document intelligence, agentic workflows, and automation for life sciences use cases.
- Integrate AI products with enterprise APIs, data platforms, identity services, and authorized business systems.
- Deploy secure and reliable applications on Amazon Web Services using Amazon Bedrock and appropriate cloud services.
- Establish automated testing, evaluation, observability, continuous integration and deployment, and sustainable operational practices.
- Embed privacy, security, traceability, human oversight, and appropriate controls throughout the product lifecycle.
- Measure adoption and business outcomes and turn successful solutions into reusable capabilities.
Requirements
- Approximately 8-12+ years of professional experience, including at least five years building and delivering production software.
- Proven ownership of applications or products from problem discovery through deployment, adoption, and continuous improvement.
- Strong Python expertise for building complete, production-ready applications beyond notebooks, prompts, or model endpoints.
- Working-to-advanced experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, and React for building functional user interfaces.
- Strong engineering fundamentals across APIs, data modeling, databases, authentication, testing, containers, and cloud deployment.
- Hands-on experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery practices and maintainable production solutions.
- Experience with generative AI solutions using foundation models, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic workflows, and tool integrations is desirable.
- Experience delivering solutions in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or another regulated environment is desirable.
- Skills such as data governance, data quality, data science, data visualization, deep learning, machine learning, NLP, statistical analysis, SQL, R, and time series analysis are listed as desired.
