Responsibilities
- Develop integrations between Dotmatics, Siemens’ broader ecosystem, e-commerce and internal order flows, tax collection systems, ERP, and shared infrastructure.
- Scale and improve shared billing, licensing, and marketing services using GraphQL and modern back-end technologies.
- Enhance GraphPad.com, SnapGene.com, Geneious.com, and other brand front-ends using Storybook, Next.js, a headless CMS, and modern frameworks.
- Propose and own technical architecture decisions.
- Collaborate with product and engineering peers to execute the product vision.
- Design and develop GraphQL and REST APIs alongside responsive, accessible front-ends.
- Build reusable, well-tested components and maintain high code quality standards.
- Write thorough end-to-end and unit tests.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience building responsive web applications and back-end services.
- Advanced proficiency in Node.js and front-end build tools such as npm and yarn.
- Experience architecting and developing REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
- Advanced HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills with strong TypeScript proficiency.
- Experience building reusable React components and familiarity with frameworks such as Next.js.
- Deep understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MSSQL, and MySQL.
- Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and modern deployment practices.
- Solid unit and end-to-end testing skills.
- Security-oriented mindset and awareness of application security best practices.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted or agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.
- Ability to explain complex technical ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Working knowledge of security and data protection frameworks such as ISO 27001 is a potential additional qualification.
- Experience with high-traffic, high-availability applications is a potential additional qualification.
