Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of Java-based core online products for financial services, insurance, and identity applications.
- Design, build, and operate highly available, low-latency enterprise platforms, microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven services.
- Develop cloud-native, multi-region, and multi-cloud applications with resilient architectures, disaster recovery, observability, and operational readiness.
- Design and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate AI services, LLM-based solutions, vector databases, RAG architectures, and AI agents into enterprise applications.
- Lead performance tuning, scalability optimization, debugging, root cause analysis, incident response, and Level 3/4/5 production support.
- Build and maintain automated unit, integration, contract, end-to-end, performance, load, and security testing frameworks.
- Apply secure coding, threat modeling, vulnerability remediation, secrets management, encryption, tokenization, authentication, authorization, and software supply chain security practices.
- Coach and mentor junior developers, review code and architecture designs, manage code packages, and provide technical leadership for the group.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using Java and modern software engineering practices.
- Strong expertise with Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Security, Spring Cloud, and Spring Data.
- Experience designing and operating large-scale enterprise platforms, high-throughput Java applications, resilient microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform, containerized and Kubernetes-based deployments, multi-region and multi-cloud platforms, and cross-cloud networking.
- Experience with Maven, Git, JUnit or TestNG, WireMock or Testcontainers, SonarQube, and CI/CD deployment automation tools.
- Experience designing, operating, and optimizing globally distributed databases such as Google Cloud Spanner, including schema design, query optimization, indexing, consistency models, and large-scale transactional workloads.
- Experience handling highly sensitive regulated data, including PII, PCI, financial, consumer credit, or other regulated datasets, at hundreds of millions to billions of records.
- Strong knowledge of availability, reliability, observability, SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, capacity planning, incident management, and production operations.
- Architecture, cloud, security, Kubernetes, or SRE certifications are preferred.
