Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain robust and scalable backend applications using Flask and Django.
- Build high-performance APIs and write reusable, efficient code following software development best practices.
- Architect and implement distributed microservices using Temporal workflows to orchestrate complex processes.
- Support migration of legacy enterprise applications to microservice architectures, including data migration.
- Integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Integrate backend systems with databases such as Cosmos DB and messaging platforms such as Kafka and Event Hubs.
- Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines and production deployments for Python projects.
- Develop and maintain unit and integration tests using pytest and unittest.
- Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to sprint planning and estimations.
- Debug technical issues and resolve production incidents.
Requirements
- 3–6 years of professional experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python 3.x.
- Experience with one or more Python frameworks, including Django or Flask.
- Experience migrating legacy enterprise applications to microservice architectures and performing data migration.
- Experience integrating databases and message queues for backend operations.
- Experience developing unit and integration tests with pytest or unittest.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, prioritization, and time-management abilities.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; Bachelor of Technology is listed as required.
- Relevant certifications are preferred.
